Welcome to Clydebrook! We are based in beautiful Georges Creek, in Victoria's North East, which is well placed centrally between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
We have shown and bred this beautiful breed since our first Airedale, Darby (Aust Grand Ch Robberyundarms) bred by Rebecca Preece in 2003. During the time that we showed him, from 2003 till 2009, Darby won numerous major awards including Best in Group and Best in Show, as well as Best of Breed at Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne Royals. In 2006 he became the first and perhaps the only Australian Airedale ever to show at Crufts.
In 2010 Darby's son, Henry (Aust Ch Clydebrook Crusader) became the first Australian Airedale to sire a litter of pups in the UK.
While in the UK we bred our Mamie (Aust Ch Mistletoe Magic, Imp UK), Floyd (Aust Ch Clydebrook Spiced Rum, Imp UK) and Maggie (Aust Ch Clydebrook City Lights, Imp UK) from the top UK lines of Saredon and Stargus.
Floyd and Maggie, who qualified for Crufts in 2013 went on to win 2nd and 3rd respectively in their classes at Crufts.
Floyd was also awarded best Undergraduate Dog under judge Mr Tom Huxley (Robroyd) at the prestigious National Airedale Terrier Championship Show in UK in 2013.
We brought Floyd, Mamie and Maggie, as well as our older dogs Darby and Meg, back to Australia in 2014 and they are the basis of our beautiful Clydebrook breeding lines. We are proud to say that Floyd is now an Australian Supreme Champion as at the end of Nov 2017, pending confirmation from Dogs Victoria.
Next year we look forward to showing our newest Clydebrook generation, Jack (Clydebrook The Jacobyte) and Annie (Clydebrook Annie Laurie).
As you browse our site you will see some dogs who are no longer with us, either having been re-homed or having passed away. Each one was such a large part of our lives however, and will be forever in our hearts, so their pages remain on our website as our tribute to them.
